Go again…

The power of persistence

Keep trying

Keep going

Get knocked down 7 times, stand up 8

Persistence beats resistance

There are plenty of stories of endurance and persistence over the years

Ernest Shackleton and his attempts on the south pole - one of my favourites

Every day people persevering through the hard times

Or one I head on a podcast this week, the story of Finnish solider Aimo Koivunen

Check it out if you have not heard of him

Why are we talking about persistence?

This year we sponsored a team in the Hong Kong Rugby 10s again

The best rugby tens tournament in the world

The ‘PAC BaaBaas’

Last year we lost in the final - missing a kick in the final play that would have won it

This year?

We lost in the final, again

We turned up this year with a better team (full of internationals)

A better understanding of how to win

A better grasp of what we needed to do to get the result

But, we still lost

So what, who cares!

We turned up, we tried our best, and we came up short

What next? We will go again next year

We will take the learnings, get better, improve, study, learn and try again next year

It is only a negative situation if you allow it to be

And what if we look at the big picture?

The team has grown from a small social touring team

Into a player pathway, developing the next generation of players and competing at the best tournament in

the world

So, I guess two key lessons here that apply to property…

The power of the long term

The power of persistence

With property, the longer you stay ‘in the game,’ the better. More growth, more income, more security.

In life, in rugby, in property—anything worth doing—you’ll face setbacks

You’ll get surprises you didn’t see coming

You’ll expect to win (as we did this week) but come up short

It’s about regrouping, adjusting, and moving forward

If you’re thinking about property but finding it challenging, stay the course—if it were easy, everyone would

do it

Learn more, refine your strategy, keep pushing

Progress isn’t always a straight line—but those who stay in the game

Come out on top

Think a friend would like this? Send it their way

Have a great weekend ahead,

Callum
