I'd Buy Me a Beer
“I like me”
“I’d buy me a beer”
The words of Dry Creek Dwayne…
A horse wrangler from Wyoming (see below)
And to be fair, a good goal to aspire to
It’s amazing where and how you can come across wisdom
Life lessons or ways of looking at things
One of the reasons I love doing what I do so much, is because I get to speak to people
from all over the world
Everyone has a perspective, everyone has experience you can draw on
If you keep an open mind to what they have to offer
Dry Creek Dwayne is a guy who I ‘found’ recently
Amazing how his insights (some, not all) can be applied to me, and probably you
Even though we would be living polar opposite lives to him
Different sides of the world, different lines of work, different values
Therefore, I guess the theme of this note is wisdom, and where to find it
And the answer is… It’s all around you
Same with property…
You can learn about property walking down the street - what are values here? Why are they cheaper than
over there? Does this train line influence the popularity of this neighbourhood ?
You can learn about it speaking to people - why did you buy there? How did it go? What was your
experience? Your motivators? Would you buy again?
You can learn about it when you are on holiday - how much does a AirBnB cost? How much to buy the
place? What would the yield be? Is this a good buy? Are the laws safe?
You can learn about it reading books… This one is obvious
Ergo:
Keep an open mind, be willing to learn, ask questions - the answers are all around us
In the most unlikely of places, such as Dry Creek Dwayne’s barn
If you want to pick my brains on property, then drop me a note
Think a friend would like this? Forward it their way.
Have a great weekend ahead,
Callum
